Couples putting a like or love next to a photo on Facebook that their partner has made.
For example, I posted a photo of how great 2021 will be and my partner loved the post. Apparently this is weird and OTT. Hmm

@melissasummerfield
Totally agree

@WildNorthEast

"I would like to thank ***@nameofhusband*** for cooking me such a lovely meal tonight, loved it!"

"Thank you @nameofhusband for looking after me after I was sick to day, I love you (place nickname here)"

CRINGE.

So unnecessary, just say it to his face! Don't know why anyone would need to see that. My husband cooks me dinner and looks after me when I'm I'll. I've never once felt the need to tell everyone on FB.

JESUS CHRIST YES.

It's a bit different if you've been really ill and post 'Thanks everyone for the good wishes, so appreciative of @nameofhusband who's taken such good care of me. Hopefully nearly over this illness now'

As opposed to 'Having a lovely evening with @nameofhusband' - pic of two glasses on a table. 'Love @nameofhusband for making us dinner' - pic of what looks like the reduced shelf slopped onto a plate. 'Wonderful day out with @nameofhusband I love you so much' - blurry pic taken from a car window. 'Just enjoying snuggling up with @nameofhusband on the sofa #blessed' - photo of the telly in the corner.

Why would you think anyone else cares about the day to day tedium of your lives?

I think some people here must be very invested in social media.

WorraLiberty · 02/01/2021 00:30

@MiaMarshmallows

She's jealous as I am in a very happy relationship. Not a friend I have come to realise.
So what's with the thread?

Do you really need to ask what others think?

Crankley · 02/01/2021 00:43

Are we actually talking about adults here?

KosherSalt · 02/01/2021 00:46

@melissasummerfield

I think adults that give a shit about social media reactions need to get a grip Grin
This. I’d be wondering whether anyone who gave the couple etiquette of SM two thoughts had had a lobotomy.
Divebar · 02/01/2021 00:52

Why does everything have to be driven by jealousy ?
