to think that Centerparcs is a waste of money at the moment

They have just emailed us to encourage us to book a break but if you are staying for four nights you can only go swimming twice and only for two hours.

For us swimming has always been the main attraction as we all love swimming.

Yes agree, I love CP but only go in term time to avoid the ridiculous prices and go swimming every day. I've booked for the last week of April but if it's not unlimited swimming (or at least a 2 hour slot every day, not twice in a week!) I will be rebooking for a later date as it's not worth it for us without daily swimming.

I went in October and don’t think I’d want to go back until things are back to normal.

I found that, as with so many other things, Rona really sucked the joy out of it. Faffing with masks all the time, socially distanced queueing for your slot in the pool, temperature checks before you go in, one way system in the plaza, all the clothes shops gone (used to enjoy a browse!). Also all the land train stops have been boarded up so if it’s pissing with rain you have to stand outside and wait. Really didn’t have the relaxed, holiday feel that it usually does.

Center Parcs is notoriously demand priced and I saw lodges going for over £10k in this coming summer. People clearly are staying in the UK due to covid and Brexit! UK holidays will be a nightmare this year.

We go.swimming sometimes twice a day whilst we're there and spend hours swimming so it wouldn't be worth it at all for us; it's the main attraction of our break

I love centre parcs but the limited swimming puts me off massively.

Another reason why I so love the fact that I’m divorced. My Ex insisted on an annual CP holiday.

Yeah, absolutely waste of money!

It's over priced now anyway and the accommodation hasn't caught up with the prices either.

I don't mind CP in general (with a decent deal) but I don't really fancy being in a steamy dome with lots of people (I know, chlorine... but still).

But in answer to your Q - yes, it's pointless

@AndcalloffChristmas

We go to Bluestone in Wales quite often an have been really gutted that we couldn’t go any of the times it was open this year.

I tried booking a Center parcs trip just recently but sadly that was cancelled too!

Bluestone at Christmas is amazing
