I wasn’t really feeling christmassy in the lead up to Christmas, but actually had a lovely few days, and now feel a little sad it’s all over. Feeling a bit uncertain as to what next year will bring. Is anyone else feeling the same? Any positivity / motivational tips!?

Definitely, I feel this way every year. I love the run-up to it all, and my favourite part is always Christmas Eve since that's when we usually gather as a family.

Christmas itself always feels a bit anticlimactic to me, and this year especially we're all back to business as usual by now with nothing special to look forward to -- no visits, no gatherings, no meals out or anything.

I put huge amounts of effort into making xmas wonderful given the crazy year. Spent months purchasing the perfect gifts and getting new decorations, planning our meals and had every intention of drinking lots, eating lots and chilling with DH and the kids.

Then I caught covid and spent from 23rd dec through to today pretty much asleep. I dragged myself up on xmas day, couldn't eat, couldn't drink & was napping all day before giving in & going to bed at 6PM. Ditto the rest of the days.

Just all feels like it's been a big waste, like I ruined christmas. I've had an argument with DH as well this morning and he's stormed out, so christmassy is definitely not here.

God no! I’m itching for the tree and decorations to be put away in the attic.

Quite glad it’s over tbh

Want to get back to normal and get on with things.

I actually love it!

Everything away, all the decorations in the attic hoovered, everything tidied away.
I do still have wintery things around, soft blankets, candles etc.
But I love the starkness and simplicity. We have had snow here for the past coupld of days, I can enjoy winter without christmas.
A new yoga challenge to start on you tube on the 1st, health eating.
I find the period after christmas a refreshing change.

Tescos have whacked their Easter egg displays out already, so at least there's a glimmer of hope on the horizon.
