AIBU (maybe..) to ask for your help naming a 90s/00s tv show

So... my sister has asked me to help her remember a tv show she remembers us watching when we were younger. The descriptions are pretty vague so not expecting miracles but here goes..

What she remembers.. (potentially)

• Cartoon, maybe green, lived underground. The beginning showed you them and they went underground and it was like a village underground and they all lived under there in their own houses.

Late 90s-early 00s. They had little doors under the ground where they lived into their own houses type thing. They were like an animated animal things. I feel like they were small animals/animal families not big animals.

If anybody can shed any light/give any ideas we'd be very appreciative 😂

So update.. our mum says she remembers the programme but not the name.. she thinks they were creatures that lived under the ground, in the soil. 😂

Thanks guys. After going through them all the one my mum remembers was fungus the bogeyman, so maybe thats correct?! Sister isn't 100% convinced but says its the closest she's found!

This probably isn’t the answer but you reminded me of a programme I used to love when I was tiny called Greenclaws where they planted an egg/seed and it grew into a wee creature. Had completely forgotten about it until now!
