As in 24 hours where Covid never existed. How would you use yours?

Coffee with a friend in the morning, then lunch out with sil, mum and family. Hug my mum. Be indoors with family.

minipie · 28/12/2020 01:53

I would hug my mother. She was diagnosed with cancer in summer and due to chemo is shielding, covid could be very dangerous for her. I haven’t hugged her or even come close to her since diagnosis, it feels so wrong.

Ah thanks you lovely lot. I ❤️ reading this thread.

I miss normal life so much😭. It gives me hope and happiness that people do remember what normal is like and we will get it back.

I would hug my 95 year old grandad and have a massive dinner party with all my friends.

Go to a film or a gig. Or visit my tier 4 Scottish son. I've really missed him

prettygirlincrimsonrose · 28/12/2020 08:15

Give my mum and dad a hug.

Take DS to some sort of indoor attraction I know he'd like.

Meet my friends at the pub and have a proper catch up sat round a table inside.

TakeMeToYourLiar · 28/12/2020 08:22

Go and see my granny. I'm terrified ill never see her again.

She spends most of her time alone in her room in a care home and is giving up hope

Demitri · 28/12/2020 08:43

Probably gather all my family to my parents house, hug the shit out of all of them, eat all day, get drunk, get the bouncy castle out for the kids to have a jump about in their garden and then maybe go down to the pub together. A lot of my family are clinically vulnerable so I’ve only seen them in the garden a handful of times since March this year. I also haven’t hugged any of them since Feb.

FangsForTheMemory · 28/12/2020 08:45

Shopping then out for dinner with friends.

DurhamDurham · 28/12/2020 09:01

Coffee and cake in a nice cafe with my two grown up girls and granddaughter.

Then an evening meal out with husband and friends in the local pub, hopefully there'd be a band playing there too.

MistleTOEboughski · 28/12/2020 09:07

Hopefully within this year some of these will come true.
I know my dd wants a day out shopping and sleepover party with all her friends so I would like that for her. I would visit my gran, mum and my sisters family give them all a big hug and go out for a meal.

BumbleFlump · 28/12/2020 09:10

With my dad ♥️

Audreyseyebrows · 28/12/2020 09:12

Seeing family and friends and going to see live music

squashyhat · 28/12/2020 09:16

Train to London for an exhibition, walk along the South Bank and meet up with friends for drinks and dinner. Or go to a gig. Or meet and hug my sister.

Milssofadoesntreallyfit · 28/12/2020 09:27

No change actually, same as I've been doing for the last few covid months. Will be nice not to wear a face mask though.

I haven't missed the pubs, restaurants, shops, gyms etc, never been a very huggy person and have always been social in small doses anyway so luckily for me I've not really missed anything. I don't think I'll be returning to pubs and restaurants either, I've realised that I never really enjoyed them that much anyway.

TheVanguardSix · 28/12/2020 09:30

A big ol' wander through the RA. I'd cycle there (I'm in West London), lock my bike up early, have my RA stroll, wander over to Chinatown for lunch, wander and roam in and out of shops... head over to Southbank for a stroll and a cider at the Rekorderlig cider lodge (which isn't on this year I am pretty certain). I don't even drink really, but I do always have a nice pint of something in Southbank in the winter. I'd end the evening with a show at the National Theatre.
I'd go with my favourite travellers; my 18-year-old DS and his culture vulture granny (MIL) who taught me how to love London unconditionally.

winterbabythistime · 28/12/2020 09:34

Take my 4yo ds to softplay, swimming with slides/wave machine, friends round to play. Really anything he has been missing, not bothered for myself.

Coasterfan · 28/12/2020 09:38

Alton towers!! We went every weekend until it closed at the end of October but we are really really missing the theme parks!

Athinginitself · 28/12/2020 09:45

Ooh definitely a trip to the pub with DP and my best friend with lots of hugs Smile

Harrykanesrightsock · 28/12/2020 09:55

Morning dog walk with my Lovely friend ending with coffee and cake. Pub lunch with DH my mum and teens then cinema followed by few drinks at our village pub.

rosesinmygarden · 28/12/2020 10:00

I'd visit my mum and my gran.

I'd go and try on bras at m and s and buy lots.

I'd let my dd have a sleepover with her friends.

Blerg · 28/12/2020 10:01

Take my kids to see my parents.
