Want to see DP desperately. I live at the moment with my adult daughter in another borough and he lives with his adult brother, adult son and young daughter. If the adult brother and son move out temporarily from DP's, can me and DD then take their place and stay with my DP ?
It's a tier 4 area and we would become DP's support bubble.

@MiaMarshmallows

Yes. How dare I spend the second half of Christmas with my partner of 2 years. Hmm
In Scotland non cohabiting partners can be together.
MiaMarshmallows · 26/12/2020 22:36

Not if I go home but come back and nobody else stays with DP. Cant see how that is wrong.

Because it isn't the rules OP. Move or don't.

I'm still not understanding why you didn't just become each other's support bubbles originally? Or from 2nd December when you were allowed to change them? Your post does read like this is just something you want to do to enable a short term visit, which I suspect if why you're being called selfish.

MiaMarshmallows · 26/12/2020 22:43

I couldn't as I had to work.

There is nothing that says you can not go back and forth to your support bubbles home. I can go between my home and his and it is not illegal.

I see.

Why don't you just move in with one another? If there was ever a time, its probably now.

Her work at a guess.

You live with your adult daughter. I thought only adults on their own could have support bubbles?

MiaMarshmallows · 27/12/2020 11:20

DP is now on his own with an under 18 child so it is fine.

Are you going to help with childcare in same way brother is? Is it fair on child?

Miamarshmallows · 27/12/2020 12:59

Why would it not be fair on the child? They were incredibly excited when we said we were coming down.
We won't really need to help with childcare but if it comes to it, of course we will.

Mia you obviously think you're right and want to do it, so why ask?
