Muppet Christmas Carol... have you noticed...?

The film is nearly 30 years old and I’ve never noticed this before... Michael Caine’s real surname on the shop front.

Also, A Christmas Carol is one of my all time favourite stories, I enjoy watching all the film versions of it.
Dickens was a genius.

We watch this every year on Christmas Eve. I think we could recite it - it's absolute genius

I too dislike the song and I hated it as a child. Disney are right, it doesn't appeal.
but! When I watched it in the last few years and the song doesn't feature, it just doesn't sit right. It does need to be in it.

I like it but my kids spent literally months after we watched it having bad dreams and talking about 'that scary film', so it doesn't make the list of films to watch each Christmas!

I absolutely love it too and DS (3) sat glued to it last week but when I went to put it on again he sobbed his heart out and said 'no scary one'

Yes, remember this, being scared of the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come... used to do a Gonzo and Rizzo and skip that but. I don’t know if anyone remembers Mickey’s Christmas Carol... I think, is it, Bad Pete(?) played last Ghost... scared the crap out of me!

The Fozziwig joke is my favourite! I hadn't spotted the sign but I'll keep an eye out.

Yes, the ghost of Christmas future from Mickey's Christmas Carol definitely ranks up there with the scariest of the future ghosts!!!
