AIBU to be pissed off at a singing Christmas tree?

I had to go into our (smallish) town this morning. Hovering around a bit while my car went to the garage. So. On our high street was a group of fundraisers - I think they were collecting for homeless people. Fair enough. However. They were singing. Or rather, belting out, Christmas Songs along to a backing track. The ring-leader was a woman, dressed up as a Christmas tree, even face-painted so yes, she'd put in a lot of effort. But she was one of the main belter-outers and she was wearing no mask. On a pretty busy high street on the day before Christmas Eve so there was considerable footfall so it was quick tricky to distance from them. There were some other singers, some wearing masks, others not. But she was the main one. Really going for it. AIBU to be pissed off and think that actually she was the one that was BU?

Under normal circumstances yes yabu but given the current climate definitely not. Happy for her to sing, but put a mask on.

That would really piss me off too, especially if there wasn't much room to socially distance when you walked past.

It wasn't just me I was concerned for. They've been there for days. Amongst the (small town (that has just narrowly missed going into tier 4) pre-Christmas high street) hoards. What if she's got it? She could be blimmin super super spreader. It was clear she thought she was doing some good. You know. Spreading some Christmas cheer. For me all I could think of is how bloody reckless she was being. Luckily it absolutely poured it down all afternoon so maybe they reined it in. Hopefully.

This would piss me off simply because I have had to cancel musical theatre lessons at my dance school for the entire school year because of all the rules and regs around group singing and aerosolisation (the sheer amount of space you have to allow around each person) and supposedly how much droplets travel when you sing. Therefore someone singing with no mask in a public place that was crowded where the public cannot social distance from them would piss me right off. A well organised display with performers at a good distance from the public I would have no objection to.
