New Pixar film coming out on Xmas day if you have Disney +

Ninetyseventhirtyfive · 23/12/2020 23:06

Our kids, 6 and 8, both really enjoyed Hidden Figures. And we absolutely loved it too! Though it's not specifically a kids' film. Also Wonder is great, and I'm planning to watch ET with them over Christmas.

Ninetyseventhirtyfive · 23/12/2020 23:08

And yes to Queen of Katwe! Great film. All PGs.

Barmbraic · 23/12/2020 23:15

PandemicPavolova · 24/12/2020 08:14

Where is a little princess?

My 8 year old and I (mid forties) enjoyed the Christmas Prince series (3 films Netflix) and the Princess switch. Very Christmas sets, set in Christmassy places.

We have been saving the Christmas chronicles 2 for today and jingle jangle. Teen enjoyed the gremlins.

My favourite film at Xmas when young was the rose and the slipper ❤️❤️❤️❤️🎄🎄🎄🎅🎅

Last night, on netflix the George Clooney adaptation of the book Good Morning Midnight was released as a film called midnight Sky. The book was brilliant. Not sure what rating it is though.

Also enjoyed Mr jingle jangle.

A monster in Paris

Copperas · 24/12/2020 08:46

Three Amigos is very funny and we still quote from it. Silver Streak is funny and exciting. Galaxy quest is brilliant and funny tribute to Star Trek. Home Alone? 101 Dalmatians? Monty Python and the Holy Grail? Robin Hood in multiple versions- Disney or Errol Flynn or Men in Tights. And of course Men in Black 1, 2 and 3.
Lots of laughs, bit of excitement, many happy hours

Copperas · 24/12/2020 08:49

Leslie Nielsen in Naked Gun films?

Thesunrising · 24/12/2020 08:51

Strictly Ballroom. Funny, uplifting and not too long.

Copperas · 24/12/2020 09:02

Local Hero?
(You can tell we watched a lot of films in the 1990s and 2000s)
Golden oldies would be the Marx Brothers Duck Soup or Buster Keaton’s The General to keep the laughter going.
The Three Musketeers with Oliver Reed and Michael York - brilliant film.
Shakespeare in Love (some non-explicit sex).
Where Eagles Dare (may be a bit too violent as lots of shooting of Nazis).
The Hunt for Red October as a tribute to Sean Connery - give me a ping, Vasily!

WobblyLondoner · 24/12/2020 09:02

Thanks all, handy! Just to flag Hidden Figures is on tv on Boxing Day (C4). I'm looking forward to it, has been on my list for ages and going my DS 14 will enjoy (maths nerd).

Copperas · 24/12/2020 09:12
