Resignation regret

I’m so upset with myself. I have no child care other than my teen dd to babysit who just leaves tv on all day. I feel deep sadness that I resigned without thinking it through . Now I want to cry. AIBU to try and take it back? Or is tv baby sitting actually a good reason to resign?
Yes resign is best
No you fool tv all day is ok 🙄.

“ I have no child care other than my teen dd to babysit who just leaves tv on all day.”

I thought that was the whole point of the OP?

YABVU to expect your eldest to bring up your youngest.

I did this as a teen, I knew my mum needed to work and couldn't afford childcare for 3 younger children.
What has life become that have a roof over your head , food too eat and clothing gets trumped by a child's freedom.
I bet the teen would scream far more at having no phone and living on beans on toast and 2nd hand clothing.
Talk to her , explain why get her to agree to what the rules are, explain about money situation.
Just don't ask her to do the household chores as well and just get her to feed the children, wash up, make sure they don't get hurt and give her pocket money and all weekend to do as she wants.

@DivGirl I think FAQs point was that the OP hasn’t said she’s 13 - could be 19.

Tv all day isn’t the worst thing for them.

As long as they are fed and happy, does it really matter?
