I have been offered the vaccine through work. I work in a non patient facing role within a healthcare setting. I am very surprised to have been offered it and I know I'm very lucky. I should jump at the chance to have it. BUT I'm trying to conceive. There is a chance I could be pregnant now.

AIBU and selfish not have it?

And how do I tell work. Obvs don't want them to know I'm TTC.

My eldest works in a nursing home and has turned the vaccine down. She's 20 and has deemed herself too low risk and that there are more needy out there

It’s nothing to do with her risk, it’s to protect the people she works with.

If she is vaccinated the chances of her having an asymptomatic infection and passing it on to her elderly charges is much lower.

He logic unfortunately is incorrect. She should have it.

You're not selfish not to have it.

My eldest works in a nursing home and has turned the vaccine down. She's 20 and has deemed herself too low risk and that there are more needy out there.

As much as I want her to be safe, I can't fault her decision.

That’s is crazy. It’s not just for her protection ffs.

I can’t believe someone in a nursing home who has seen the devastation this has caused, is not having it.
