Panicking - Asda order

GoHornets · 19/12/2020 22:24

I have my Christmas Asda order booked to be delivered tomorrow. Usually you can edit it up until midnight the day before delivery. I’ve just gone into the ASDA app to try and amend and it says ‘order placed’ and won’t let me edit??? I’ve been trying to get through to customer services with no luck, has anyone dealt with this before?

Oh noooo

I got a bacon topped turkey joint for £3 in Iceland next day delivery. It's in the freezer as a back up (in case Boris did a u turn on Christmas, which of course he has). Will do for my little family

Brighterthansunflowers · 19/12/2020 23:23

Asda have had a 10pm deadline since the Spring. It’s very clear when you order. It’s not really a customer service issue, it’s a you didn’t pay attention issue

Ltdannygreen · 19/12/2020 23:27

I was gonna say I think they changed it too 10pm.

@Birdladybird wow how much did you order for £120 to be out of stock?

About £350 worth 😂 we live in France and someone is bringing our Xmas treats over tomorrow. No rhubard and ginger gin though 😩

TeeniefaeTroon · 20/12/2020 00:19

It changed earlier in the year. It happened to me earlier this week and I couldn't cancel it. I did manage to book a click and collect though.

Oh no what a shame - I hope you manage to get what you need in the shops (and that they’re not too busy).

We have an Asda shop arriving between 11am and 1pm (not one of their Christmas slots as there were none left in this area when they went available for priority customers) and I managed to add 2 items to it yesterday about 6pm and nothing showed as being out of stock. I also have a Sainsbury Christmas slot coming on Monday (there were things we couldn’t get in Asda so took my chance on Sainsbury’s) so, if anything is not in tomorrow’s delivery, I will hopefully be able to add it to Monday’s delivery - all assuming Sainsbury’s have it in stock and opening that order doesn’t bring up a list of ‘product not available’ messages!!

@Birdladybird I think DH would be happy if £120 of the order is not available from a wallet point of view but nor from a what we’ve ordered to last us into 2021 as we’ve not got another delivery booked after this weekend!!

hardboiledeggs · 20/12/2020 08:40

It's been a 10pm cut off for a while

FreshfieldsGal · 20/12/2020 09:12

Haha thought it was just me who added a bottle of Bolly and a bottle of vod 😂 One of these days I know I'll forget to amend my order!

It's been 10pm the night before for ages op.

@ChristmasTreeFairy5000 I agree, I only popped in as I’d seen an advert for some nice vegetarian food but ended up spending £90! They also had some items the same as other supermarkets for a lot less. I’d driven passed a Sainsbury’s which had a queue for the car park. Seems a shame they have the old 80s reputation still.

PizzaForOne · 20/12/2020 11:29

I'm boycotting Asda for their annoying adverts

SuperbGorgonzola · 20/12/2020 11:33

We did that this week. DH was too slow, tried to check out at 22.01 and we ended up with nappies, frozen peas and milk.

Apparently it was my fault because I didn't tell him it was a 2200 cut off Hmm

PrincessPain · 20/12/2020 11:34

Always do iceland.
I've been getting next day delivery all year, when Asda and tesco were fully booked for the whole of their calender that was shown.
Iceland are delivering my Christmas order on the 23rd and are usually quite well stocked.
