To put my experience as school governor on cv / job application?

I think I use my skills & experience and have learned a lot, but is it ok to use it in the same way as I use my actual work experience?
If you were the employer would you see it as having equal value as previous jobs?

School governor, NED and trustee roles are hugely onerous and often require decision making capabilities dat beyond those which people would exercise in their “day jobs” - quite astonishing that someone would dismiss the experience gained so readily.

Can only assume that the PPs who’ve suggested they’re not relevant are confusing school governor with class rep Hmm

I always do and say that I was able to transfer my skills from the workplace to the governor role.
I have also used reports that I wrote as a governor in my portfolio.
