Even if the usual suspects whinge about freedom of speech and you can't say anything nowadays without being cancelled.

This has all the elements of modern social media life and Twitter.
Rod Liddle wrote an article in the Spectator about how he couldn't have been a teacher because he couldn't conceive of not being unable to shag the kids

""I never found out because the one thing stopping me from being a teacher was that I could not remotely conceive of not trying to shag the kids," wrote The Spectator contributor Rod Liddle in the 2012 article. "It seemed to me virtually impossible not to, and I was convinced that I’d be right in there, on day one. We’re talking secondary school level here, by the way."

It was tweeted out recently.

There were lots of comments including one by Ash Sarkar. a Muslim journalist, who has written about Islamophobia. The word paedophilia was mentioned.

Julie Birchill quote tweeted that - and then brought up her religion and worshipping a paedophile during a heated online exchange.

She then deleted her twitter account.

Meanwhile, she has a book coming out - about what happened after she wrote an article that was criticised for transphobia.

Her publishers have now decided to cancel that book deal because of the Twitter exchange with Ash Sirkar.

Burchill’s publisher, the Hachette imprint Little, Brown, said it had decided not to publish Welcome to the Woke Trials because she had used indefensible language when communicating with the journalist Ash Sarkar.

Sarkar said Burchill “quite openly subjected [her] to Islamophobia”.

Little, Brown said Burchill’s comments on Islam were “not defensible from a moral or intellectual standpoint” and they “crossed a line with regard to race and religion”. It added that her book had become “inextricably linked with those views”

Naturally, the Daily Mail comments are supportive of her and Laurence Fox was quoted saying there's no such thing as free speech anymore.

Did she know what she was doing - and has tried to get publicity?

Or is she just an Islamophobe?

Well yes to both. She is an Islamophobe and will be thrilled people still know who she is. She's a bigot and proud of it. And a very unpleasant human being from most accounts.

And a shit mother to top it all off!

She clearly had brains but seems to have drank them away. She’s been a professional troll for quite some time now. She doesn’t come across as someone who’s happy in her own skin so tries to make others unhappy too. She’s also been awful to people she’s supposed to have loved. She’s pigeonholed herself now so can only pay her bills by creating ‘controversy’.

Her book was probably awful and could never sell on its own so Islamaphobia was always going to win her points with some and cause outage with others generating some column inches, opinion pieces, a Twitter ‘storm’ invites on the talk circuits and radio phone in shows etc. She’ll try and get invited to talk at some uni, who will decline then she can be the centre of a non platforming by the ‘lefty’ uni’s ‘storm’ and the opinion pieces etc start up again.

I honestly don’t know why people bother to be outraged by these types anymore it all just seems so formulaic now.

She obviously did it because she craves the drama of being told she's a shit so she can rave about being 'cancelled' but it doesn't make it any less disgusting.

She's always been vile though. Some really unpleasant views - like how sex workers should be killed for 'betraying' women. Lovely well rounded views there...

Is @CrotchBurn not coming back to attempt to minimise Islamophobia some more?

There's a fine line between being 'anti woke' and posting hate speech. Burchill has clearly crossed it, multiple times, what about her little fans?
