To ask where the cheese footballs have gone???

They're both disgusting and delicious in equal measure. However, I'm addicted and look forward to these golden tubs every Christmas!

BUT...Why can't I seem to find them in any supermarket this year?! I managed to order 4 boxes from Sainsburys online at the start of the month, but they're now sold out everywhere.

Would anyone like to join me in an ode to the cheese football, in hope that KP pick this up and make more next year?

Our local supermarket (France) sells them all year round. Never was a 'bold' more deserved.

Eleganz · 16/12/2020 16:10

I'm guessing that there may be a shortage because of some people buying multiple boxes in one go...

justanotherneighinparadise · 16/12/2020 16:11

I saw loads today in Asda!

Bloodybridget · 16/12/2020 16:13

Kicked into touch?

EnPoinsettia · 16/12/2020 16:14

Back of the pickle net

BobbinThreadbare123 · 16/12/2020 16:17

Our local Sainsbury's have got them. They're gross and so are Twiglets. I like the Cheese Trees though.

DancingQueen2018 · 16/12/2020 16:18

I’m sure I saw some at the food warehouse at WWX on Sunday (waving at fellow east Kent dweller).

RoughWinds · 16/12/2020 16:21

I have been buying them in sainsburys. They are on a separate shelf to the other tubs as they are smaller Hmm. I have some hidden for Christmas as they don't last long in this house.

Roystonv · 16/12/2020 16:25

None at our Iceland, Tesco or B&M on Monday. A sad state of affairs as we need their cheesy moreishness even more than ever this year.

hammeringinmyhead · 16/12/2020 16:27

I thought it was just me imagining supply issues but there are none in Asda, Sainsbury's or Lidl!

EvilPea · 16/12/2020 16:30

I haven’t been able to find them either. I am sort of reassured I’m not the only one!!!
I’ve bought the big aldi bag, but I think they are crisps notthe crackers.

LuckyNumberThirteen · 16/12/2020 16:32

My mother has them all.

Sorry.

moita · 16/12/2020 16:34

My local NISA has them

Iamnotminterested · 16/12/2020 16:38

Bloody love them too, and luckily DH and the DDs don't Grin

Got my (first of many) tubs from Tesco a week ago and sat in the car park and ate the lot.

Katgolde · 16/12/2020 16:39

I'd forgotten about these, but now I want some!

Iamnotminterested · 16/12/2020 16:40

Out of interest, do the Cheese Football lovers on here also love the nobbly cheesy snacks you get in France/Holland, 'Croustillants' ? I have a pack a day on holiday, but can't find anything similar here.

Yes! The closest I could ever find was cheese Nik Naks, also like gold dust.
79Beastie · 16/12/2020 16:50

Cherry Lane garden center has some in stock for £1.99. Just seen them on their site. If that helps anyone.

Iamnotminterested · 16/12/2020 17:03

@hammeringmyhead

Yes, a decent substitute, when you can find them.

Yes, love them.
BethHarmon · 16/12/2020 19:10

Well no wonder they’ve sold out if you’ve already bought 4 boxes!

Aren’t sainbos own cheesy balls any good? (Although please leave a packet for me 🙏)

BethHarmon · 16/12/2020 19:12

What about cheese puffs?

I’m not sure if I’m getting my cheesy balls ballsed up here

Christmassequins · 16/12/2020 19:27

Oh no, cheese puffs just don't cut it. Need the full synthetic paste sticking to the roof of your mouth sensation.

OhCobblers · 16/12/2020 23:12

I had to visit 4 supermarkets to find them, eventually In a large Sainsbury's.
The tubs are def smaller and the cheese not quite as strong a cheesy taste as I remember!!
Didn't stop me eating one of my stash in just half an hour!! 👏
