To not want neighbour's mucky water all over the road.

Next door but two had some sort of work done that involved plumbing.
They seem to have plumbed something in so that dirty water flows into their drain pipe, ending up on the road and in the rainwater drain. We often see a fast flow of dirty or soapy water flowing down the road, when there's no rain. It flows past my house into a drain.

AIBU to think they should have plumbed it in properly, and I shouldn't have their mucky water flowing outside my house.

YANBU. Is it temporary while the work is being done? If not speak to the council.

Work was finished ages ago.

Is this just a temporary fix? Or is it all done?

They cant do that though. I'm pretty sure they wont be using biodegradable soap etc so they're polluting the ground outside.

You should call the council/environmental health today go speak to them.

There are very strict rules about where waste water from houses is allowed to go. This doesn't sound right so definitely speak to the council.

Sorry. Cross posted there. I read your OP then made a cup of tea before typing my reply!

Nottherealslimshady · 15/12/2020 10:34

Yeah I dont think they're allowed to do that. Definitely ring the council.

Sounds like they may have plumbed their washing machine/tumble dryer into the nearest storm water drain and it can cope when the machine drains hence why it is running over
