This is my new best friend. Was originally a birthday gift for DD a few months ago but I've fell in love with him and now he's mine (once she's gone to bed)

We sit and watch Netflix together every night and he sits on my knee staring at the screen! 😂

A hot water bottle. I have so many burns because of hot water bottles but love them so much I'm happy to be scarred for life. I generally end up sleeping with a hot water bottle stuck between an arm, or a leg, and the bed, and wake up in the morning with my skin being like bubble wrap. Basically slow cooked myself. And if anything, I'm now a pro when it comes to treat burns.

What's the name of the little guy OP?

You can make them less hot, you know. You're doing it wrong, if they burn you.

@Kumquatsquash Ooooooooohhhhh a little ball python! I have 5 of those and a corn snake. My daughter has a BP too, and another on the way due to be delivered today! Before lock down we had precisely 0 snakes (but I'd wanted one for ages!). A couple of mine like the telly too. Be careful though, you can never have just one, that's the rules!

@Fckingfuming Six snakes! What type of set up do you have for all those? I know what you mean though, I'm already eyeing up a banana morph on Facebook.

@HomeSliceKnowsBest He's a royal python, or ball python in the US. Absolutely fantastic first snakes as they are so chilled and sweet. Some of them barely move unless it's feeding time.

My boy is an explorer though and will tear up his viv until I open the door then he springs out. I don't handle him the day before or after he eats but he's out every other day.

@Kumquatsquash My boy's in a viv as he's very mobile at night and loves exploring, and the 4 girls are in tubs on shelving. They are all taken out for exercise everyday unless they've been fed the night before or are going into shed. There's some controversy over the rack/tub system vs vivs, but I've found my large females go off their food/seem unsettled if placed in a large open viv, and much prefer to be in their tubs. The corn snake is in a viv. DD has a male BP in a tub in her room (although he spends most of his evenings around her neck/head or down her hoodie🤣)

Jealous of the snake, so beautiful. And jealous of the kitten, would love a kitten.

I have a large black cat on my lap, he likes me working from home as it means I sit down and don't move for a couple of hours. I like it as he makes for a much better hot water bottle than the one I have in the office which doesn't purr or headbutt me affectionately.
