To not know how to boost my immune system

So I’ve got another cold. Really horrendous snot, headache, swollen eyes, excruciatingly sore ears and cough ( no temperature just a cold not COVID).

This is about the sixth bug that I have caught this year and I basically haven’t been well all year.

I eat healthy, minimal alcohol, moderate exercise in the fresh air when not ill.

Wfh so no commuting.

Wear masks when in shops.

Wash hands all the time.

Yet keep on getting ill. What more can I do to boost my immune system as I am fed up

I've got a strong immunity. In the past 5 years, I've had 1,maybe 2 colds. The last was a year ago.

I honestly think it's because I don't worry about bugs too much. I do the 'hands face space' now because of covid, but before this only really washed my hands after the loo. I actively avoid antibacs e.g. handwashes etc as they dry out my skin. I do wonder if too much antibac wipes, detergents etc hinder people's immunity and possibly prevent antibiotics from working effectively (no links, just something stored in my head somewhere).

My dog "kisses" me and also gives the plates a pre wash as they're going in the dishwasher. I figure they're going in a thorough hot wash and a steam dry so can't get excited by it.

An ex colleague of mine always panicked about germs, for instance when picking her toddler up from nursery would give her a rub down with alcohol gel (this was pre covid). When I think of her now, I think of her with a cold. She had permanent colds. Another colleague now is similar, and her whole family except her have severe asthma.

Take Vit D spray, Vit B complex and Vit A.
Make root ginger, clove and honey hot drinks. Eat loads of garlic and mild chillies.
Up 5 a day to 8 a day - 5 of which should be veg including orange roots and leafy green.
Wash or change your mask every day.
Def 8 hours sleep a night.
Check home for black mould.

Perhaps try a probiotic, especially if you've taken antibiotics recently. There's a lot of really interesting research done in recent years about how gut bacteria (or rather a lack thereof) contributes to many health related issues.

Oh and if a drop food if it's indoors I'll pick it up and eat it (unless it's something 'damp' like a piece of bread with butter on or something....biscuits etc are ok). I also only wash fruit and veg if its grown in mud and im going to eat it raw eg celery, lettuce. Apples, plums, etc go straight in my mouth.

One other thing OP could it be depression? I kept going tot he Dr feeling just not quite right, sleeping too much, she suggested depression and I didn't think I was but the antidepressants told another story.
