That's it, really.

It's £740!!

We do have the money, but I don't like to feel wasteful or extravagant, especially when it comes to spending money on myself.

I bake all my own bread plus my dc love baking, as do I, so it will be used at least 3x a week, every week.

It needs to be reliable, powerful and have a minimum 6.5 litre capacity bowl, which this model fits but.....

It's a mixer!!! Their basic model is around £300, but the bowl isn't big enough.

I can get a non branded one from Amazon for around £200+, which has the large bowl capacity I need (and some even come with extra attachments such as a meat grinder), but.... it's not good value if it breaks after 2 years.

The Kenwood has a 10 year guarantee on the motor, which is what has failed on my cheaper model (after about 3 years), so on that basis it would cost me £74/year if it lasts the 10 years, which would make it cheaper in the long run than a cheap one which breaks after a few years.

Aarrgghh!! I can't decide so I'd appreciate other people's views on this. Thanks 😊 🙏

Great thanks for that, I think I'll stay clear of the bells and whistles then :)
