I imagine this has been done to death.

I am sick and tired of my mum telling me that I've spent too much on my 2 year old daughter, around £600. However, she's my only one and if she had siblings my budget would still be the same, just between them. I can afford it, so AIBU to spend this kind of money? Or am I being ridiculous?

@PenfoldPenny I did it this year as I felt safe from her becoming a brat and expecting it. From next year I shall be tightening the budget on actual presents and putting the difference into her savings account 🙂

I have absolutely no idea how much I spend on my kids. All I know is that they were happy with their gifts and I was happy that nothing was paid for with credit.
