ugh I feel so huge every single day. Every time I eat I feel disgusting. It's got to the point where my mood for the entire day is determined by how awful I feel when I wake up and even my DM has picked up on it.
I have put on about half a stone in the past few months. ugh I feel so disgusting whenever I eat and it's driving me mad. I just can't stop eating and it's as if my whole life seems to revolve around food.

Gained 3 and a half stone 🤣Half a stones not much. You can literally lose that in a week. I had salad every day for lunch cut the wine in half and lost 6lbs this week.

Happierwithouthim · 08/12/2020 16:30

What are you going to do to change how you feel?

It's either change your attitude or change your weight, if nothing changes, then nothing changes.

Happierwithouthim · 08/12/2020 16:31

I have felt bad about my weight for a number of months now.

I took advantage of 10 for the price of 5 Personal training sessions and started yesterday, it won't lose the weight magically but it'll help my frame of my mind as well as my body frame in time

Miseryl · 08/12/2020 18:19

Yeah it's hard isn't it? I'm a yo yo dieter currently battling to keep my weight at a BMI of 26. I could easily spiral out of control and end up several stones heavier quite quickly. I think the answer for me would probably lie in some form of intense therapy to unravel why I have such bad eating habits and how to control them but I can't afford private therapy and there is very little on the NHS for that. Just general CBT and counselling aren't powerful enough for me to have any long term effect.

dollymoo · 08/12/2020 18:28

I could have written your post it is exactly how I feel every single day

Imworthit · 08/12/2020 21:49

Despite letting my weight spiral this year. I'm extremely confident about losing it because:

  1. I've done it before
  2. I'm focusing on filling my body with nutrition
  3. walking to rebuild my stamina & adding weights/running only when I feel better 4)limiting but not depriving myself of treats
  4. Being kind to myself_Covid was a weird fucking year.

YOU can do it just don't pressurise yourself.

Fishfingersandwichplease · 08/12/2020 21:50

Yep - lost nearly 2 stone in lockdown 1.0 but gradually put it on as l returned to work - find it easier not to eat when at home.

hennersley · 08/12/2020 22:11

I think it's important to know what size you are op as if you are a normal size then maybe you would benefit more from a trip to your GP to discuss your thinking rather than trying to lose weight

MrsBobDylan · 08/12/2020 22:13

No one should comment really. For all we know you are 6.5 stone and 5ft 8 with a serious eating disorder.

AIBU isn't the right place for this.

Absolutely this.
DimidDavilby · 08/12/2020 22:14

Sorry you feel like that op.

SchrodingersImmigrant · 08/12/2020 22:20

I am not going to give any diet advice because @MrsBobDylan is absolutely right.

However, I will say that you should speak to your GP because these are pretty extreme feelings and that's not healthy at all.

itswonkylampshade · 08/12/2020 22:25

I’m another one who’s feeling a bit like you! I think for the last two years I have given up looking after myself after losing my mum. This week I ordered a (home cooked) low carb meal plan for a fortnight - felt like desperation when I did it but I’m four days in and starting to feel a bit less massive already and not missing bread as much as I imagined I would!! I sort of feel like I need a factory reset. I’m seeing a PT twice a week as well and finally feel my mindset starting to shift into the right gear. Till now I’ve just been feeling shitty but not actually doing anything about that either.

NoMoreFlowers · 08/12/2020 22:27

Are you actually overweight?
