To want 'headphones' that I can sleep in?

To drown out snoring and listen to books while I drift off, but comfortable enough to sleep in? Do they exist?

I use anchor soundcore earbuds. I charge my phone overnight anyway. When DP isn’t here (hasn’t been since March and doesn’t live here anyway only here at weekends) I use an anchor soundcore mini bluetooth speaker and just turn the volume down enough that what I’m listening to can be heard in my room only.

So it says the Bose sleep buds only play content from the Bose sleep app? That seems a bit limited

I use the sleepphones, wireless ones. They are very comfy as the speaker is completely flat. And you can Bluetooth it to the phone

Sleep phones are good, a soft headband with headphones in. I side sleep wearing Bose quiet comfort headphones though (noise cancelling) and it's fine - I have a feather pillow so they just sink in.

HaveeeeYouMetTed · 06/12/2020 10:37

It's probably been mentioned already but my partner suffers really bad with tinnitus & at night time struggles to catch off as there's no noise to block out the ringing. Last year I bought him a pillow with a speaker inside. You just use the wire attached into your phone. Found it on amazon.

Kokoon sleep headphones are designed exactly for this

I've got lovely ones that are like a headband with earphones in. So comfortable. DH got them for me as I really wasn't sleeping well at the beginning of lockdown. Put the calm App on and am out like a light in 5 mins now

Bluebell878275 · 06/12/2020 10:43

I've just bought my step-daughter a head band with built-in earphones for Christmas, it's good to hear they work well! She likes to listen to white noise to try and sleep. I might get one too as I'm an ASMR person but my ear phones are uncomfortable to sleep in.

I find buds eventually fall out of my ear(s) then I roll over onto them and they wake me, or I spend ages in the morning trying to find them, wherever they've secreted themselves. Now I use a wired in ear one (no phone jack issues) and it's much easier. I side sleep so just have one ear in, and tuck the spare one under the pillow to stop myself getting tangled.

JudgeRindersMinder · 06/12/2020 10:45

I just put my regular Bluetooth buds under my pillow and they work really well

BeaufortScale · 06/12/2020 10:49

I have the Cozyphones sleep headphones from Amazon. Fleece for winter, mesh for summer. They do about 18 months before they die, but that’s being worn all night every night.

chipsandpeas · 06/12/2020 12:36

i have the headband with headphone built in, i usually use them on a plane but handy when sleeping in the same room as a snorer, i use a white noise app with them

Sonofapizzaman · 06/12/2020 12:40

I also fall asleep listening to a podcast (Nothing Much Happens, it’s amazing). I don’t find my earbuds particularly comfortable as I’m a side sleeper.

Does anyone have a link to a wireless sleeping headband they actually use and like? It seems like exactly what I need because then I can also charge my phone overnight instead of having to choose between my podcast and a charged phone.

Sonofapizzaman · 06/12/2020 12:41

My husband is convinced he’s going to wake up to me strangled on my own earbud wire one of these mornings!

rhowton · 06/12/2020 12:45

Husband needs a test for sleep apnea and you need a spare bedroom 😂

EmilySpinach · 06/12/2020 13:06

The stretchy headband style are comfortable to sleep in but be warned that they are very ‘leaky’ if you share a bed. Then again if the snoring is that bad you’ll probably cancel each other out!

He doesn't have sleep apnea and I don't want a spare bedroom!
