To ask if people will want Christmas cards this year?

Or are they really germy? (heard a couple of people I don't know muttering about this)

I do personalised hand drawn Christmas cards featuring pets and family members, positive things from their year or things that mean something to the recipient. They usually go down a storm, but not sure if they'll be wanted in Covid times? A few people I'd usually send them to could be described as vulnerable. I am being exceptionally careful myself and basically going out as little as possible but have socially distanced contact with around 20 people a week.

I'm trying to be considerate so would appreciate views on this.

Thanks in advance.

I think they will be especially welcome if they are people you have been unable to visit or only correspond at Christmas.

Just don't lick the envelopes.

The person receiving the card can open and then wash their hands or leave it to once side for a few days.

I’m sending them to close relatives with a Christmassy photo of the DC on, I always do this and they love it.

At DC’s school they have to keep the cards in a box for a week before they’ll be handed out.

We're not doing cards this year due to saving money and tbh they get opened then just chucked down anyway. Waste of money unless it's ppl who you aren't seeing then we'll send one in the post

I love cards! I've sent mine already bar ones I plan to distribute by hand and I've had my first one in the post from a friend. My friends and I are 20s & 30s and lots of us send them and love them. Definitely after this year and not seeing each other.

I enjoy getting them. They're a big part of my Christmas decorations too — I put them on strings on the walls. It's like friends and relations have helped to make my house look nice and festive!

If people are worried, they can leave them for a few days before opening them.

Not all glue is vegetarian.

Also, you don't want to end up like poor Susan in Seinfeld........
