All my life I have been a chatty person.I have always been able to chat to anyone even though I am not a madly sociable type.It has recently been remarked on at work.Other employers have mentioned it in a jokey way and as I work in a male dominated industry with a lot of loud misogynistic guys I thought it was a put down or differences in the way the sexes communicate.
Now I wonder if it is pressured speech as I do suffer from anxiety.
I do ramble on excitedly about things and would find it hard to just shut up.Now it has been mentioned I feel self conscious even though I suffer poor self esteem to start with.
Anyone else talk too much and do you have the ability to repress it?

It wouldn't surprise me if I did have bipolar disorder.People tell me I am full of energy and over enthusiastic about work.In the winter I feel quite low and we diagnosed with SAD.
My nephew is bipolar and I do feel ridiculously energised like I can't sit still.Lockdown has helped tbh.
I guess I grew up in a bustling busy household where silence meant atmosphere.Same in the busy hectic work environment I work in.
The comment in a jokey way was good job you work as hard as you talk .It was from an ex army man who often had a hangover likewise where I work now the youngsters often have hangovers.
I will try to reign it in.Interesting two people have said they have ADHD.What other signs do you have?
