Just went to book Chessington World of adventures (for Father Christmas) after debating about it all afternoon. The prices this morning was £30 per person and now its £35!

Well I won't be booking it now. Hmm

Fuck off you twat! I have money, that isn't the issue.
So if it's not the money, what's your issue?

Plonque · 01/12/2020 18:06

@MummmyDayCareNameChangeAGAIN

Or greed?

Behave! They've probably been shut for 80% of this year. Pay the extra fiver or don't! ...but don't whine about someone trying their hardest to save a business.

Spend the money on anger management

lifestooshort123 · 01/12/2020 18:14

Ryanair are masters at this - prices can fluctuate within an hour. Perhaps the sudden price change is due to a surge of interest for your date - is it all down to algorithms?
(I've no idea how they work though)

Igotthemheavyboobs · 01/12/2020 18:17

fuck off you twat has given me a proper laugh, sorry OP you gots to calm down!

Or Daily Mail sad face? 😞😜 Sorry OP, I do get where you are coming from Smile
Elfieishere · 01/12/2020 18:21

I vote daily mail sad face For the OP to get some free tickets😂

It’s supply and demand. They are a business.

PhatPhanny · 01/12/2020 18:22

Its just business 🤷🏽‍♀️

For every 1 person that doesn't want to pay an extra £5pp there will be 10 that will, business's have to make their money, especially this year.

Could say they're greedy, could say your cheap.. But its just business!

HopeAndDriftWood · 01/12/2020 18:28

Usually prices would change over night, not in the middle of the afternoon.

Not anymore, sadly. They’ll change when enough slots are booked; automatically. It helps them to maximise income from the slots, and incentives customers to buy earlier.

It does suck in your situation, though.

Northofsomewhere · 01/12/2020 19:29

All the prices changed from £30 to £35 because other people bought the £30 tickets. There will of course be other people looking for the same day as you, including your friend who may have bought the last few £30 which pushed the price up for you.

stressfullday · 02/12/2020 05:51

£30-£35 to see Father Christmas? Crazy prices. Is he handing out gold bells or something for that price?

SingANewSongChickenTikka · 02/12/2020 06:36

Prices absolutely fluctuate during the day, not just overnight. Generally based on demand, the quota of cheaper tickets being sold etc. All automated.
It’s a business, it’s aim is to make money and it’s doing it against a particularly harsh backdrop this year. Their choice to charge what they like when they like, yours to buy or not.
