To ask for your 'voucher' suggestions?

Posting in AIBU for traffic as I'll have about an hour to execute this between me getting home and DP getting home tonight.

I've got a wooden advent calendar that can be refilled and I'm planning to pop a little voucher into each drawer that he can then save and use throughout the year (or as desired). Obviously I've left it very late but I was just going to put chocolates in the drawers until this idea sparked yesterday!

I'm thinking things like 'this voucher entitles you to breakfast in bed' and 'this voucher entitles you to a massage' and perhaps even a couple of saucy ones Blush.

24 to come up with though and I've got about 8 written down so far! Please give me your suggestions?

(For info we don't have kids yet so doesn't need to include anything related to getting a lie-in or a 'night off' and so on) Thanks in advance!

My OH wrote me vouchers for my bday. It was lovely.

I had a few foot massages, back massages. Dinner out and cooked indoors.

I wouldn't do 24. It's too many to actually do and I think a bit boring after a while. Maybe mix up some chocolates in there.

How about 'theme' nights... So Mexican, Chinese, Italian, steak, curry night, his choice of takeaway etc.

Chores he hates like clean the car out, taking the bin the bins out etc.

Agree with @liveitwell do a mix of vouchers with Chocolate, 24 vouchers is too much

You could have

Cup of tea/coffe
Car Wash
BJ? :p

I did buy some Malteasers truffles with the intention of doing half and half but they don't fit in the bloody drawers!! Hmm

I thought if I put a year's expiry on them I could repeat a few that are easy ones to do but I know he'll appreciate.

I do the same thing. My husband gets a few gifts but mainly vouchers. Mine are a few sex related ones then things like:
Breakfast in bed
Film night
Cook a nice meal when it's your turn to cook
A cake of your choosing
Biscuits/cookies of your choosing.
Full control of the remote for an evening.

I tend to double up on a few of them but his favourite every year is one he only gets one of which is 'win an argument when we both know I'm right' because I am right at least 99% of the time and he knows it.

His choice of TV programmes for an evening?

Cooking a meal that's a favourite of his but usually too much faff?

Flibbertigibbet2211 · 30/11/2020 15:15

Cross-posted the TV remote thing!

LadyFidgetAndHerHandbag · 30/11/2020 15:15

His advent gifts don't fit in the calendar so I wrap them and write a number on the paper and put a slip of paper with the number in the calendar.

DuzzyFuck · 30/11/2020 15:16

Aaah I love the 'win an argument' one! We don't generally argue Halo but I'll definitely put a 'get out of trouble free' one in there for the next time he breaks something/forgets something/says something daft Wink

All good suggestions thanks! I have calmed down a bit by realising that actually as long as I've got a few days worth in there today then that buys me a bit of time to sort out the rest of the month.
