that doesn't cost the earth!?

Posting for traffic Grin
We're in the midst of doing up our bedroom - I have attached my 'mood board' below. Can anyone recommend where I can get a lovely orange or yellow chair for my vanity table?
Does anyone have one and can advise where they got it? I keep seeing lovely ones but they're all £££.. I'm hoping not to spend more than £100..

Ideally it will have a back and arms - I love the wingback style etc Grin

As lovely as that chair is @liveitwell.. the homebase one is extremely similar and costs much less Grin

Any old timers remember the M&S "fugly" armchair thread from about 2010???? (M&S royally cocked up and advertised a rising/reclining chair (admittedly it was the ugliest chair ever) for 50p online) - lots of MNrs jumped on and bought one to be followed by apologetic emails from M&S the morning after..... I believe that was orange....?

I came here to recommend the Audrey chair by John Lewis, but sorry, they seem to have rocketed in price. We got one for our daughter’s room last year, and it’s lovely. And comfy.

Maybe wait for the January sales?

Maybe if you really like something out of your budget, save up for it so you get something you really want. You will be happier and it will last you for years. X

I'm not any good at sewing etc myself, in awe of people like my neighbour who are!
Habitat have some amazing chairs but OMG the prices...

Just be careful if you buy an armchair it might be too squishy and you'll end up needing a booster seat to see your vanity mirror! G plan used to do an orange velvet ottoman/stool people used for vanities 'fresco' was the style I think? Try vintage or antique shops if you want something that'll last longer.

I've learnt from my mistakes! Spent 300 quid on a big squishy armchair for my desk only to need my OH to extend the legs and I still have to sit on a cushion Blush

Look at local boards selling furniture and see if you can get a cheap chair the shape you want, then get it recovered.

TattiesGone · 29/11/2020 21:58

I've got the home Base one in yellow but I'd say it is very much an occasional chair and too low to sit on as a desk chair. Gorgeous to look at though...
