Neighbour singing loudly every weekend

In a semi detatched house. My neighbours lounge is attached to ours by a party wall.
Every Saturday and Sunday without fail from around 4pm to 9pm she sings loudly and pretty much constantly throughout the evening, (I imagine after having a drink) It's not bad singing, but it is loud, theatrical/operatic and "carries" well at a particular pitch that is very noticeable above our tv punctuated with "woos" and "oh yeahs!"
We watch strictly on a Saturday night and we can hear her next door singing loudly along to all the songs! Is it too much to ask to want to sit down on a sunday evening and read a book or have a glass of wine in peace or AIBU? Am I just a miserable toad?
I know her to say hello too but that's about it so we arent close enough for me to make a joke out of it.

Mine does show tunes, top of her voice, roughly 5 nights out of 7. DH once put on Rage Against the Machine at full volume but she was singing so loud she couldn't hear it I guess.

Just sing back and she'll realise she's being too loud...

Does she have friends round for a candlelight supper?

Aury26 · 29/11/2020 19:48

Yes it is the same. Show tunes too. Driving me mad. I can almost see her doing the "acting" with her face, with how it sounds as if she thinks shes literally on stage.

She would probably be singing at that too!

I’d recommend sound proofing

Aury26 · 29/11/2020 19:53

Oh we have tried all the passive aggressive techniques including loud singing and cheering Grin but it hasnt changed anything.
