To not send DS to pre school Xmas party?

DS attends the afternoon session at pre school. On the last day before they break for Christmas all the morning & afternoon children will be in together to attend a Christmas party. I’m worried about the risk of him mixing with another 25 kids so I’m thinking of keeping him home. AIBU?

The morning session is cancelled on party day, maybe staff have there own little party😂

The usual morning pre school session finishes 15 minutes earlier than it did pre Covid to allow extra cleaning before the afternoon session begins so they must have some concern about transmission to do this? 🤔

Ask what the plans are.

Ours is doing an Xmas party, but they’ll be doing it in their bubbles of 6.

The staff shouldn't be mixing with all children should they? They should just care fir their own bubbles.

I think lots of people have an unrealistic expectations of what’s happening at most pre schools. My son is with a different adult 3 days out of 5. Lots work part time. The kids change bubbles most days as not all kids go every day. So over the course of the week my son has played with 90% of all days and 6/10 staff members

That's just daft. The extra risk might be small, but why take it at all?
I wouldn't send mine either.
