Should I ride a tricycle?

I'm 44, have never been able to ride a bike. I'm getting a tricycle for Christmas and I'm excited. However, I fear I may look like a twat. What do you think?
YABU - you'll look like a twat
YANBU - go for it

A stylish twat. I like it.

I would love a trike. I can't really ride a bike properly, not safely. The main thing that puts me off (although they are typically quite expensive too as they're not easy to come by) is the thought of being recognisable and conspicuous. If I had a choice I'd rather like to be invisible actually Wink If you're braver than I am you should absolutely go for it!

If the dog in the basket is cute enough, the human is effectively invisible.Grin

I had a trike too when my kids were little. If you have ever ridden a bike you might be a bit freaked at first as the two wheels at the back kind emphasis how a road curves into the curb, the camber. Give yourself a few test drives and don't worry if at first you hate it. It does get much easier.

Oh OP, just ride it! Loads of people of all ages ride all sorts, where I am at least. No-one bats an eyelid. And so what if they did?

Electron I was on that lovely trike thread in the summer.

At least you haven’t got kids who will die of embarrassment!
