To email the Head Teacher?

I think that title is going to get me loads of irate MNetters coming to tell me not to be THAT parent Grin.

I actually want to email her about one of DD's teachers who has been absolutely brilliant this year. She teaches PHSE amongst other subjects but I am really impressed by her lessons and the messages she's sending in that particular subject. Is it ok to do that? Or does it look a bit stalkery and excitable. It's just dd is so enthusiastic about those lessons - almost never happens and I love hearing about them and how they're being taught so much that I almost wish I could attend them. Good idea or too much?

Def do it, honestly, genuine positive feedback, especially that highlights amazi g teaching that has made a difference is so rare, it won't look odd! Plus it tells the head /SLT where there is so eine making a difference and their methods etc could be shared across school to benefit more pupils.

Please do this! It’s so uplifting to have positive feedback come through.

I read on here that reference style letters from parents can be added to a teacher's file.

yeah, I try to email when they have done something good for the children. makes it more likely that the many many difficulties they have (SN) will be better responded too. (reasonable adjustments for disability.

I would. I email the deputy recently to say how well I think the school is handling covid and keeping classes going via teams when the kids are having to isolate. I mentioned a couple of teachers by name. She got back to me straight away and said she would pass it on.

I think everyone is so quick to complain it's important to give credit where it's due as well.

Yes do it.

It’s always nice to have someone compliment you especially to your boss

Exhaustotron · 26/11/2020 11:17

Yes, do it, and copy the teacher in so they see it too.

HmmSureJan · 26/11/2020 11:27

I'll do it then. Thanks Smile
