I've gone through menopause now but from what Ive been reading on here most women get offered hrt. My surgery never offered it until a couple of months ago after I'd gone through the menopause, that horse had already bolted.

I'm not sure my surgery even knew about my menopause, I considered it to be just one of those things! Why should a surgery be involved?

As others said, there has been a shortage and still issues with certain products in some areas and some HCP are just shite about it, much like some are shite about issues and disorders around menstruation.

A common recommendation I've seen in Menopause support groups is to have a look at this Menopause Matters decision tree that has a lot of information on risks vs benefits, review the NICE Guidelines and - as you've already asked for help - consider emailing them in for a phone appointment or printing them to take with you with the appropriate information highlighted to discuss your needs.
