I have a velcro dog who often barks/whines at night. He's better if he has an item of my clothing nearby which makes me think he might better sleeping on my bed. Am I stupid to consider this?
Yabu - no way, very bad plan
Yanbu - love dogs on the bed

I wouldn't fancy it but it's your dog, do whatever you want Grin

Our rescue sleeps on our daughter's bed (at her request).

Other than one terrible evening involving a VERY upset stomach (his) and a mishap involving everyone needing a shower and 4 loads of laundry it has been problem free. He is very happy and given his background would have been very difficult to settle him anywhere else I think. He doesn't shed and I haven't noticed any unpleasant smells in between bed changes.

Only downside for him is that he constantly smells of our DDs marshmallow body spray, we take the piss out of him a lot but he doesn't care. Grin

I love them sleeping with us (small dogs)

I find it really comforting to wake up in the middle of the night and stroke a hairy tummy

One of them gets under the covers on Dh's side and sleeps with his head on him

Dogs and sheets get cleaned weekly

We sleep with our two pugs in the bed every night. I couldn't have it any other way! Sheets get cleaned weekly
