Hi all! posting here for traffic. I’ve sorted out my pyjama cupboard this week and have a massive bag of pyjamas that my children she outgrown plus a couple adult sets that are like new that perhaps were always too big or small. I’ve also been bought fleece pyjamas over the years as gifts and I hate wearing fleece.

Anyway, I’ve binned a few bits that are battered. But the rest is in really good and very clean condition. Mainly kids pyjamas. They grow so quick!

I’m aware charity shops are shut at the minute but at pyjamas something they would want? Would people buy second hand pjs? It just feels a little different to buying second hand clothes.

Any other options? Are they any charity’s that send clothes abroad to disadvantaged counties. Feels a shame to throw them out! 😭 Salvation Army?

There doesn’t seem to much in the terms of donation points locally to me!

Charity shops do sell nightwear. Just wait until Dec 3rd and take them to your chosen charity shop.
I also put clean damaged or worn out clothing and linens in a separate bag and donate those too. The charity shops receive an amount of money per kilo for 'rags'. It is better to do that than have them go into landfill.

People do buy them if they’re in good condition, you see them on eBay.

Somewhere like a women’s refuge or church might take them.

Clothes recycling bin for tatty ones - goes to cushion stuffing etc.
If they're not too bad I keep my old pairs for decorating in - don't mind getting paint on them and they're comfy to move about in.

We have some local Facebook groups for disadvantaged/ needy families so anything like this I post to there. Also leftover nappies / formula / pads etc - they take them all

I cut up old cotton clothes or pyjamas to use as cloths.
