To get a Fortnum & Mason hamper as a gift for parents

As this year has been so rubbish I'm thinking of really splashing out and treating my parents to a Fortnum & Mason hamper in the £100 price range (which is a lot for us). However looking at trustpilot the reviews are surprisingly bad!

Have you ordered one recently and did it go ok? I want to customise the hamper by choosing what to put in it and adding the hamper option when I check out but can't figure out how to do this... Any ideas?

OP Last year they compared hampers online and I can't quite remember how I came across the article. ALDI came out as better value than Fortnums. When I tried to get one they were sold out completely. I ended up making one up

I love F&M hampers. We get two or three a year. (Their shortbread is the best I've ever tasted). We also ordered FIL one for Christmas this year. I'm sure he will be pleased.

It's a rare treat for many. It has a specialness to it. M&S food lovely but wouldn't feel as special compared to an F&M hamper. You can also inherit the hamper basket at some point Grin

I have asked for one for Christmas as I really don't want anything else, it arrived fine. I also bought bits for my sister, and have done my own mainly because the amount I was going to spend meant she got a hamper with 3 things out of 6 she wouldn't like to I picked bits she would like and a hamper decoration!

Neither order has had issues at all.

We've had a few hampers over the years. F&M are reasonable but two wicker hampers in, we haven't really found a proper.use for them afterwards. Howver we have often given the stuff we don't fancy to the local food bank. Solves a lot of problems, that does. :-)

I’d go for a Liberty hamper!

@trappedsincesundaymorn thank you for the tip.. dh's stocking filler sorted with a diabetic treat box! Not much left in the way of Christmas hampers, unless someone fancies treating me upwards of £400 .. bookmarked for next year though!

Are there no nice local delis or farm shops around? I’m sure they’d be delighted by your order.
