It has really shocked me just how gleeful people are about catching people out.

@CuntYoureFired

Where I live in Australia we haven’t had any community transmission for over 7 months. Life is pretty much normal, so much so that sometimes I literally forget we are in the middle of a pandemic. Our premier handled it so well that we are able to enjoy normal activities. I can’t even remember lockdown, feels like decades ago.
not to piss on your chips, but until last sunday we thought we were doing alright in adelaide too. its a bit of a sneaky fucker - it can break free in the land of McGowan too. (yep imma bit jealous/bitter/pissed off.....)

Omg, how are you doing that when the UK is in lockdown!? I'm going to report your post so mnhq can find your ISP and report your local pub to the government for being open when all pubs in the UK are closed.
Bookworming · 21/11/2020 13:47

@Suzi888 why even if you are allowed to go to the pub in your area, why would you?

Is drink that important to you? I've not left the house since 1976, if I did it certainly wouldn't be to go to the pub!

What's does your DH and DCs think about you getting totally pissed? Do you think they enjoy that? Is it fair?

It's Sunday tomorrow, so who is going to cook the roast whilst you have your head over the toilet all day? Well? That's assuming you don't need to access the services of a&e due to your drunkiness!

FFS you do know that the NHS are stretched due to the GLOBAL PANDEMIC?

Honestly, we will never be rid of this virus thanks to people like YOU!

and they always intersperse their posts with UPPER CASE letters!

@Suzi888 you actually have no idea how jealous I am! Envy

Bookworming · 21/11/2020 13:48

Not sure why that is bolded! But hopefully you get my drift!

Waxonwaxoff0 · 21/11/2020 13:52

YANBU. Thank god some people on here are still sane!

XherdanShaqiri · 21/11/2020 14:36

@BritWifeinUSA

And then there’s the “essential shopping” police. People who are almost having a coronary because Marks and Sparks haven’t blocked off the socks section and people are - gasp - buying winter socks in the second half of November and they aren’t “essential”.

I am no doctor but I am certain that the virus isn’t spreading solely because Sue put a bar of Dairy Milk in her trolley yesterday. Or because Jim bought a pair of gloves when he was in M and S buying a trifle.

This is it to a tee!

It's making Mumsnet unusable at times.

Oh Ffs @starfish88, you need to use MN more often!

They'll give you instructions how to live your life during a pandemic!

Suzi888 · 21/11/2020 16:19

@Bookworming lol Wine I’m in Wales, I’ve suffered enough! Grin

Bookworming · 21/11/2020 16:25

@Suzi888 if I drive to wales (to test my eyes 👀) could we go to the pub together? 🍷 🍻

VerySadPandaBear · 21/11/2020 18:09

@AllPowerfulLizardPerson actually I live in Adelaide lol. Our lockdown only lasted a couple days. It's not like we had high case numbers for months on end now.
