To ask for sling recommendations?

Hoping the collective wisdom can help a tired mummy out! Baby is 7 weeks and will only fall asleep in the moby sling. Problem is I can’t get him out to put him down without waking him, I’m looking for a sling that’s got like a ‘quick release’ that’s easy to get a sleeping baby out of without waking. Any recommendations?

I got this and it was really good and easy to use. www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B06XK5BCCY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabt1_Po1TFbDT7TP14?tag=mumsnetforu03-21

This is probably not what you want to hear but a sleeping baby transfer is tricky regardless of sling. I had a whole variety of slings over 5 years and two kids and I only ever managed a transfer a few times.
When mine were small I just chilled out and had a coffee and watched tv when they napped. Once a bit older I just carried on with whatever I needed while they were in the sling.
If you want to try a transfer you're probably best with a buckled carrier, something like a connecta, tule, ergobaby, manduca would do. Try a fb or Google search to see if your town has a sling library. They are mostly still running and it's a good way to try options without the outlay of buying new.
Alternatively there are lots of sling for sale pages on Facebook and buckled carriers are often quite cheap preloved.

What lockdownlumpy said. It’s not the sling, it’s the baby.

Try a sling library but I wouldn’t expect to be able to put a 7wo down. And they’re nice and light at that stage, so not a biggie to keep them in the sling and do whatever you want.

Close Caboo was great for mine at that age :)

Agree with this, but you could also try swaddling the baby and warming the Moses basket or whatever with a hot water bottle (only warm, not hot, take it out before putting him down) then rocking him and putting him down, to keep him cosy and feeling wrapped up

Otherwise at that age I’d just crack on with watching Netflix with him in the sling

Thanks everyone! I don’t mind keeping him in the sling in the day time but at night during his witching hours a walk in the sling is the only thing that will calm him but he stirs again when I try and get him out to go to bed !
