You helped me face the finances now can you help with this...
I’ve gained 4-5 stone over last 2.5 years due to ptsd I’m currently on anti-d, having Counselling and waiting for emdr. I am tackling this hard BUT
My coping strategy since my trauma has been comfort eating at night I’ve tried hypno, diets, alternative therapies nothing seems to help.
I want to stop, I need to stop I have literally all the motivation but I never follow through can anyone help me please?!
If you cracked the overeating/comfort eating cycle how did you do it?!

@ThePinkGuitar the best way I've found to tackle comfort eating, is to start by making large portions of yummy but mostly healthy homemade meals. Make sure you allow yourself big portions of home-cooked food and healthy snacks whenever you are hungry initially. That way you break the cycle of your brain only associating unhealthy foods with satiation. I've found konjac alternatives work well for pasta and carb cravings. Having a huge portion of bolognese with zero carb konjac noodles can actually feel super indulgent but isn't hugely calorific. I guess just tackle the types of foods you are eating initially and then eventually you can learn portion control and slowly reduce your meal size without leaving yourself starving!
