why not regular ? i can't stand the stuff but full fat ? sounds like drinking liquid lard [boak]
i know it's an expression and what it means, before i get jumped on but all the same, are there any other names for drinks or foods that make no sense in rl ?

In US, we have whole milk, 2% milk, 1% milk and slim milk (0% fat)

Calling it full fat coke reminds me of that and it is just sugar.

Regular is often used for drink sizes in the UK. It would be more accurate to say 'sugar-filled coca cola' and 'coca cola with artificial sweetener'. Bit of a mouthful though.
Packed with goodness and nutrients!
Not.

Before the sugar tax, when in McDonalds you asked for a coke you'd either get a a normal sugary coke or they'd ask if you wanted normal/regular/full fat or diet.
The first time I went into McDonalds after the sugar tax I asked for a regular coke.
I was given a standard size Diet Coke 🤷‍♀️
Now I just ask for full fat or they ask me if I want full fat/normal or diet.

It's like when someone says the temperature in Celsius and is asked: What's that in old money?

Tardigrade001 · 13/11/2020 20:33

YANBU. It's one of those mildly annoying things that people say. I sometimes involuntarily imagine blobs of fat floating in it.
I say 'normal coke'.

We use leaded or unleaded for coke/diet coke and also coffee/decaf.
