What to buy non conventional 12 yr old ds

Not AIBU but I need the traffic, Completely stuck on what to buy D's 12 for Xmas, any ideas??

He's not into football or gaming, he watches a lot of anime though?

Please just ask him, or get him to write a Christmas list and choose some things off it. My parents didn’t like us to know what we were getting and so every year would buy “surprises”. I’ll tell you honestly it’s a nasty shock not a nice surprise to be the only child every year that Santa doesn’t bring the gift you asked for to! X

The only thing he really likes to do is Maths, but it just feels wrong to essentially get him school work for christmas look for books on recreational mathematics, or try this website: mathsgear.co.uk/

14yr DD has asked for the deathnote boxset (books) and MHA posters, in reluctant to get them same things as it will only cause bickering,

I was always encouraged to write a list, on the understanding it had to be a long list so people could choose, and I wouldn't know what I was getting because I'd only get a few things from the list.

This is what I tell my kids. They don't know what they're getting so it keeps the 'mystery' but you're headed in the right direction so won't waste your money!

What about a graphics tablet ? My daughter is madly into anime and there are loads of anime drawing apps that keep her busy for hours!
