Please!!!

Aware it might not be an aibu, but I am at my wits end!

Have had this rash since the day after I gave birth ( 6.5 months ) ago. Nothing in first pregnancy or during second but this came day after and is gradually getting worse and worse , now 4 months pregnant ( was DEFINITELY not planned) having been waiting for a dermatologist appointment since August and have to wait two more months!
It's itchy, sore , bleeds . I've tried zeroderm, centroban, sudocream, wearing gloves to wash up.. nothing works .
Anyone?

Some women develop redness on the palms of the hands (palmar erythema) during pregnancy. Sometimes the red areas are also itchy. Palmar erythema is thought to be caused by increased levels of estrogen during pregnancy. The problem is not serious and usually disappears shortly after delivery.

I developed this when pregnant with DS - both hands and then face. Tried everything, it drove me mad!! After DD was born it went away & all fine while bf but... as soon as I changed to bottle DS developed v v severe eczema (wet wrapping bad!) for a few years. Never had a real explanation, but my own rationale is that ds was always going to have eczema & while we were sharing blood supply etc I was experiencing 'his' symptoms - but that's probably bollocks!! Confused

I had something like this for years on one hand. Creams made it worse if it got wet in would split the skin and bleed. Stopped using one brand of shampoo and it cleared up.

One thing that did help was paraffin wax - I used to put hand cream on then cover hands with the wax and then a pair of cotton socks before bed.

It looks like dyshidrotic eczema. I used steroid cream to treat it and it cleared up within 2 days.

Agree with the pompholyx/dyshidrotic eczema diagnosis. I get it on hands and feet occasionally. Tiny little fluid filled blisters appear which then burst (not noticeable) leaving hardened little discs of skin. Mine is only itchy if they get infected/pus filled. Otherwise I just sort of ignore it!

Oh wow, that looks very like something I had once. Tried all sorts and nothing cleared it, til I found loads of mould inside my rubber gloves that I'd been using to wash up. Ditched the gloves and used a fungicidal cream and it disappeared in a week.
