I just joined mumsnet yesterday but have been a lurker for many months.
I have noticed on threads recently that some mn's are spoiling for an arguement doesn't matter what the OP says they will rip them to shreds until they get bored.
I seen one poster say on one thread women should empower other women then read the same one rip someone to shreds who I also gathered was a woman and generally make them sound like crap because it suited the commenters narrative at the time

Is this generally how mumsnet is??
I enjoyed reading mumsnet but over the past 2 weeks I feel like it can be a little bit toxic if someone doesn't agree with you

Sorry I posted here for traffic but I may be UR for asking

Just to prove you correct, you understand Grin):
some mn's are spoiling for an arguement
I agree. Some are spoiling for an argument.

I seen one poster
Did you? I saw one.

Can things be a little bit toxic? They are either toxic or they aren't.

Very good post, Calmandmeasured1.

Wexla, it all depends on the topic. There are some which engender interest and sympathy regardless of grammar.
