I don’t understand this at all. Why do you want to send them a message if you are worried about them seeing you typing?

Fwiw you can turn off the read receipts and just put your phone on airplane mode whilst typing but you’ll still have to connect to wifi or data to send it. Seems a lot if palaver to go though...
