Reusing bathwater

Just read on a money saving post how family of 4 reuse same bathwater each night, saving a fortune in the process.

6 & 3 year old gets bathed first, then mum heats it up for her bath and finally dad (as he is the dirtiest or so they say) adds hot water and has a scrub.

Omg, AIBU or is the the most gross thing ever.

You lot are hilarious with your competitive cleanliness.

Wanting clean bath water is competitive cleanliness 😂😂😂 I couldn’t care less what everyone else does, I couldn’t myself sorry! I know people used to do it in the Victorian age etc. we also used to chuck our poo out of windows and put white lead on our faces, doesn’t mean we have to do it now 😂

Used to be the norm!

I have to have a shower after a bath to properly rinse my hair out

why not just have a shower then? (although that means all that filth in your hair will end up on your feet, so I suppose it's back to the bath the clean them)

Sorry, not sitting in anyone else's detritus. And nor will I be passing around the toothbrush to save the planet.

Do it all the time. Can’t bear the waste of water.

Shared bathwater here! Grew up doing it do guess it was normal - now just seems a bit of a waste to empty a hot tub of water just to refill unless bathing after some particularly grubby activity (though occasional bath is more for relax purpose, showers for washing) no-one has died, developed any bizarre bath related bacterial illnesses or drowned in someone else's putrid filth so I guess we're doing ok so far Grin
