Inspired by the brownie thread... Thanksgiving Dinner Delivered UK

We're an American family living in the UK and we usually celebrate Thanksgiving every November with a nice roast dinner. This year is my son's first year at uni and of course he can't come home. I'd love to send him a roast dinner for one and some pumpkin and/or pecan pie. He lives in catered halls so I don't want to send too much food - not a lot of refrigerator storage. Thought about Cook but their festive 'Christmas Dinner for 2' was quite labour intensive and required pots and pans! He has access to a small oven and a microwave. Does anyone have any ideas?

Pecan pie, you could make at home, perhaps freeze it, and send him a piece by post. Keep the rest at your house, log into Zoom and eat it 'together' (remotely)

Main course is harder. For Christmas dinner away from home, I have previously cooked it all in advance and reheated in microwave / roast potatoes were fried / veg in microwave. But, we were only travelling a few hours and took it all in a cool bag. I don't think you could send meat by post. Perhaps you could do a Tesco delivery of a frozen single portion roast dinner plus extras that he might like / need eg beer, toiletries

A lot of pubs and cafes in my area are delivering Sunday roasts is it worth googling/checking fb to see if anywhere near him is doing the same? Although not sure if they would do it on a Thursday.

Lovely ideas, thanks! A grocery delivery is a good thought, and I could definitely make it up to the minimum spend with non-perishable treats!
Will check the pubs nearby, as well...
