They're used to godforsaken hellholes tbf. Pontin's, awful though it is, is luxury compared to a tent on a freezing cold mountain or the Iraqi desert.

My friends and I had a sympathetic conversation about this yesterday. It'll be freezing! Do the meters still cost an arm and a leg? They very recently took fifty pences. Can't see the poor sods having to have a big bag of coins. Barracks would absolutely be cleaner and warmer!

We stayed there about 35 years ago . We had a great time !

Pontins in Southport is disgusting, I’ve been there and never again would I set foot there. Worst place I ever had to go. Genuinely like some sort of prison camp. Filthy and not fit for purpose.
