Mom Jeans and Apple Bellies

I know they're "in" but I just can't seem to find a pair that suits my apple pouch. Has anyone had any luck with Mom jeans?

Classic apple and without even trying them on i know mom jeans will look awful on me. Skinny all the way. Apple = great legs, so show them off ladies.

Massive apple here - and I love mum jeans but they need to be loose fit. Basically half mum half boyfriend. They have some in Zara.
Mum skinnies are the worst for me.
Honestly try on some baggier ones that come right up to the waist.

I actually think they can be quite flattering if you get the proper fit and big pants to hold it all in! But then again, I'm not too bothered what people think.

I was reading that low rise jeans are coming back, which is a more horrific thought for me. I remember being a skinny teenager in 2000 and still feeling self-conscious in them. Plus give me high waisted jeans over buttcrack any day.

Size 24 (pear with a bit of a belly) and look amazing in mum jeans, I have so many pairs.

Thank you, I've been looking at Monki and have them bookmarked. I think I need to start shopping on websites that use more normal models - ASOS's 13 year olds are making me feel a frump!

I'm pretty sure they're called mom jeans because in the late 90s/early 00s when first bootcut and then skinny jeans came in, teenagers' mums were still wearing the jeans that had been fashionable back in the 80s. I remember in about 1997, when I was 12, my mum bought me a pair of jeans from a charity shop and I was horrified because they were soooooo uncool. I'd probably love them now.

I'm apple shaped , I've recently discovered Matalan jeans and love the relaxed skinnies - think they're called Jolie. They've got a nice rolled up ankle which looks good with boots or pumps. They're reasonably priced too!

Are skinnies out? I didn't know!
