To ask why am I so nervous about resigning?

Been working there for serval years but scared shitless to hand my notice in, but don't know why.

I want to leave. Plse give me the courage to resign! I have never resigned from a job before - im 45 for goodness sake what is wrong with me. I've typed the letter and email but cannot bring myself to press send :-(

Don't resign by email - do it in phone call or zoom.
And you're not being fair on your boss. S/he might be delighted for you that you're moving onto something that you really want to do. You're assuming there might be a negative reaction.
