To not expect my mum to wear a mask for childcare

I'm due to go back to work from mat leave soon and my mum will be having ds on the days both me and my partner are at work, my partner has requested she wear a mask when she holds ds, aibu to think asking my mum to wear a mask in her own home all day is a bit daft? Or would you do the same

No if he was in childcare settings instead they wouldn't wear a mask. Does he put on a mask to hold son after a day in work?
