To keep secondary age dc off ?

Due to concerns covid spreads more in secondary age children ?
One member of household was Previously in shielding group.
14 year old doesn’t want to go in themselves due to the risk and is happy and motivated to work online

Question #1 is whether your school is putting stuff online if they are teaching live.
Question #2 is whether your child is y9 or y10 and related have they started their GCSE options yet.

Yes all work is online so plenty to do

It’s already set up for anyone isolating so each year has it there already for whoever needs it

I'm sorry but you will be fined as there is no reason for him to be off school. Local authorities are not giving schools any leeway with this.
They may send him some work but I doubt it will be the same as the classes are doing. Also if the teacher is not teaching on line then he's missing out on vital input and learning.
